Step right up and see for yourself! Peer into the amazing TeleOctoscope and instantly see what is thousands of miles away as if it were right there!! The TeleOctoscope is a Merma-Mechanical device built by cephalopods, maintained by a squad of Mer grease-monkeys, and powered by steam, bubbles, tea, and chocolate. Inspired by the 19th-century invention of the "telectroscope," it enables communication and collaboration on interactive art projects and machinima between Boston (US) and Whitstable (UK). Excavated from below the sea for display at SL7B as an example of virtual collaborative technology, the TeleOctoscope will surprise and delight. Machinima shown at the SL7B build of Maya Paris and L1Aura Loire, celebrating the 7th birthday of the virtual world Second Life, June 2010. Experience the TeleOctoscope in your own free mer-mechanical suit at SL7B until July 3 at slurl.com
